ABOUT MATTHEW SHOWEL
I am a commercial litigator. I help business owners and executives protect their most important assets in state and federal courts, arbitration, and government investigations across a number of practice areas. Practice areas include contracts, real estate, disputes among business co-owners, fiduciary, construction, employment, regulatory, trade secrets, and securities. I have tried several cases to jury verdicts in state and federal courts and conducted arbitrations before various tribunals, including FINRA, the CME, CBOT, CBOE, and JAMS. I regularly represent business owners in control and management disputes. Prior to completing my JD, I worked for several years in debt, equity, and derivatives markets. I started on the CME trading floor in the Eurodollar pit and transitioned to trading CME and CBOT products electronically.
