Implementation Lead in Dept. restructuring, including reestablishing Zoning Division that was abolished for 10 years- Transformed Division into a results oriented,\" project management\" purposed unit, working to coordinate all aspects of permitting across multiple agencies- Assisted Director and Office of Performance & Data Analytics lead a multi-pronged \"Kaizen- approach\" to overhauling many of our permitting and coordination systems- Developed comprehensive policies and legal interpretations as the administrative authority for zoning interpretations for the city- Implemented multiple concierge development services and web-based self-service tools to assist the public (Coordinated Site Review, Commercial Courtesy Inspections, Same Day/Tier 1 Permitting, OpenCincy permit wizard)- Managed a work load of approx. zoning permits/year, 200 Zoning Hearing Examiner cases/year, 150 Historic Conservation Board cases/year, 5 Zoning Board of Appeals cases/year- Managed Historic Preservation Functions (Certificates of Appropriateness; CDBG Sec. 106 reviews; Certified Local Government status; 28 historic districts - increase of 4 during tenure)- Championed Zoning Code amendments: Urban Agriculture, Signage, Historic District Guidelines (4) and led study on Conservation District Overlays for the Zoning Code- Established improved relations with the Home Builders Association, AIA chapter, and many Community Councils - Project lead in our migration to all electronic permitting functions with Accela, anticipated 4Q 2020 launch- Enhanced Code Enforcement, serving as research unit for the inspectors and jointly implemented sign and auto use violation sweeps to bring longstanding problem sites into compliance.
