About Matthew Severson
I am a licensed engineer and real estate salesperson based in Southern California. I have earned the DBIA professional certification and ASHRAE Building Energy Assessment Professional certification.I am presently the Chapter Chair in San Diego for DBIA Western Pacific Region.I am passionate about cost-effective, reliable, low-energy design and identifying opportunities in all of my work. I have extensive experience in the identification, design and implementation of capital and ROI projects for clients nationwide. I present technical solutions in a simple and straightforward way so my clients can make informed decisions.As an engineer, I am most proud of my contributions to successful design-build pursuits in our highly competitive market. I have designed facilities recognized nationally for their innovative MEP systems and energy efficiency. Several projects have been recognized with LEED Platinum Certification. As a mechanical contractor, I use my design experience to identify opportunities and challenges early on. I evaluate project goals with project budgets and provide solutions to satisfy both. I share questions and ideas outside of my MEP scope, committing fully to the idea that a diversity of views and opinions will reveal the best value for a project every time.
