About Matthew Sekula

I\'m a recent MBA graduate from EGADE Business School, the graduate business school of Tecnológico de Monterrey in Mexico City. I chose EGADE for its reputation as the top MBA program in Latin America and for the opportunity to take on a real challenge while gaining a fresh, global perspective on business. The program was in-person and predominantly taught in Spanish, and I completed courses such as Global Operations Management, Business Intelligence, and Finance. I had the opportunity to collaborate with individuals from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds, and our external consulting project for a footwear company allowed me to apply everything we learned to a real-world challenge faced by a Mexican business with international operations. I bring years of experience in the California wine industry, where I held roles including Sales Analyst and Technical Business Systems Analyst. In these positions, I leveraged data-driven insights and optimized business systems to boost efficiency, improve profitability, and reduce costs. Currently, I’m working as a management consultant for Jordan Vineyard & Winery. In this role, I provide strategic and operational support across key business functions—helping identify growth opportunities, streamline internal processes, and improve data utilization to support decision-making. My work involves close collaboration with leadership to align winery operations with long-term business goals in an evolving market. Based in San Francisco, CA, I’m open to exploring new opportunities where I can apply the combined value of my academic background, professional experience, and global perspective. In addition to my MBA, I hold a bachelor’s degree in Economics with a focus in Quantitative Marketing from Sonoma State University, as well as an associate degree in Business Administration from College of Marin.
