During my time with the Bowden Investment Group I have been able to collaborate with 11 other students selectively chosen to manage an equity only portfolio of The group has outperformed our benchmark, the S & P500 with an alpha of 14% and a total year to date return of 25%. To better increase the operational efficiency of the group and to improve our ability to execute our fiduciary responsibility I created a portfolio analytics dashboard that tracks returns, portfolio risk levels, and sector allocation. This greatly helps with portfolio management decisions and understanding our risks.After the creation of this dashboard, I was able to find that a particular position had accumulated market value past our maximum weight for each stock. The stock also was the largest contribution to our elavated portfolio beta. With this in mind, I successfully presented a sell presentation.More recently I presented a qualitative buy recommendation for Cal-Maine foods citing significant expansions in prepacked grocery retail as well as their excellent performance in fiscal year 2025. I also evaluated significant risks and my opinion that EPS will stay elevated through 2026 due to stable prices and the establishment of a new price floor due to inflationary pressures and HPAI outbreaks.I am excited to continue this educational opportunity and execute my fiduciary responsibility to grow the fund.
