About Matt Schmidt

I have been practicing structural engineering consulting in the private industry since the beginning of 1994. In that time I have been fortunate to work on numerous spectacular projects in many states with my practices based out of Colorado and Montana. I have been in Montana since and have had the opportunity to work on projects like Washington-Grizzly Stadium, St. Patrick Hospital ASB and the Craig Thomas Discovery Center (Grand Teton National Park) to name a few. I work with some excellent people both professionally and personally. Our office is very tight and many of us are not only colleagues but personal friends as well.Specialties: Structural steel, seismic retrofit, masonry structures, precast and post-tensioned concrete, reinforced concrete, wood and heavy timber structures, specialty consulting like blast design, component design and special materials (aluminum, some glass).

We now have offices in Seattle, Portland, Spokane, San Diego, Austin, Irvine, San Francisco, Anchorage, Los Angeles, Denver, Missoula, Bozeman, Kalispell and Billings.
