I manage a team of 10 supply chain professionals and work to empower the team to collaborate with the plant, farms, logistics, accounting, and external service providers. I manage the department budget, track performance, explain variances, and develop action plans for controllable costs. My responsibilities include liquid transportation, production planning, outside warehousing, inventory management, and co-manufacturer operations. I manage the master production scheduling, and evaluate supply and demand, and capacity constraints to produce a weekly production plan that will maximize customer order fulfillment levels. I also maintain and manage relationships with 3rd party vendors (haulers, co-manufacturers and warehouses) and negotiate the terms and conditions, rates, evaluate performances, and hold them accountable for transportation, production, quality, yields, fulfillment, and inventory control of products and materials.
