As a Coding Coach, I work with children on personalized projects in Unity to teach them about problem solving through analytical thinking and practical application. Working on these projects challenges the students to think creatively about issues in their work to help them learn efficient programming methods. The students are between the ages of 12-14 and they come into coaching with no Unity experience. I coach them about navigating the Unity engine developing 2D and 3D environments. I coach up to 12 students at a time and allow them to complete projects throughout the school year, assigning homework as needed to keep them accountable and applying their own thought process to the projects.
