ABOUT MATTHEW MORRIN

I’m a conscientious and enthusiastic worker that enjoys working in a team. Experience thus far in retail, but I’m a quick learner that can easily adapt to a variety of environments. I’m currently studying MSc Human Resource Management at the University of Sussex.During one of my modules at the University of Brighton, I worked alongside a local mental health organisation, Psychology Sussex, to help come up with a strategy to fund their business. Working with a great team, we came up with a strategy which we hope will raise sufficient funds. This was a great way for me to develop my communication and problem solving skills as a lot of research was conducted in order to systematically and methodically come up with what we thought was the best solution to their problem. As a result of this module I was awarded a Level 5 diploma in Management and Leadership from the Chartered Management Institute (CMI).While I have a wide grasp of the business world, I have chosen to focus myself on the human resourcing side of it all. Employment Law and Employee Relations are two key modules that I have decided to undertake during my final year. These gave me an extensive insight into the world of HR and something that I consider pinnacle to my career growth.I was delighted to hear that I achieved a 2:1 at the end of my degree in Business and I am now focusing on achieving a first while I am at the University of Sussex.I speak English but I am also a beginner in both Spanish and German. I am currently in the process of applying for Human resourcing roles in order to secure a postgraduate job.
