My personal mission is to further the capacity of education systems to articulate the skills faculty teach and implement technology that shows where and how those skills are acquired across the learning journey for any student.I have a strong background in dual enrollment, adult education, interdisciplinary studies, general education, online learning, curriculum, and policy reform. I have served as a professor and director at Utah Technical University and have an international research and publication record in ethnomusicology, with a focus on West/East Africa and Japan. I hold a Ph.D. in Musicology from Florida State University, an M.A. from Tufts University, and a B.A. in Music and Anthropology from University of Massachusetts.
