ABOUT MATTHEW MONECK
As Executive Manager of the Nanofabrication Facility, I am responsible for managing all aspects of the cleanroom facility operation, including construction, fit-out, and continued maintenance of the cleanroom to ensure there is no disruption of research activities. I provide expertise regarding strategic decisions and direction of capital equipment purchases and installation. I also contribute to research efforts, training, and I collaborate in the development of new nanofabrication processes and devices. I supervise the Nanofabrication Facility staff and serve as the primary interface between the facility and users, ensuring the safety and security of both the users and the equipment.Specialties: magnetic device structures, nanofabrication processes (includes electron beam lithography, optical lithography, sputtering, evaporation, ion milling, RIE, CMP, etc.), materials characterization (SEM, AFM, etc.), magnetic test and measurement, high frequency measurements, and optics.
