Matthew Dobson is a seasoned expert with over two decades of experience in secured lending and financial services. He is the founder of AVA Credit Inc, a pioneering platform that integrates generative AI into mortgage and business finance workflows. Matthew\'s career includes senior sales and credit leadership roles at GE Capital and TD Bank, and he served as Chief Credit Officer for an institutional private credit fund in Los Angeles, California. He has originated and underwritten billions in commercial mortgages and equipment loans in Canada and the United States. In 2019, Matthew trademarked AI Credit® and led generative AI-enabled credit trials on live lending transactions from 2020 to 2024, advancing the collaboration between human expertise and AI models in commercial credit underwriting. This pioneering initiative encompassed 145 U.S. Small Business Administration mortgage transactions. A landmark transaction in 2021 involved a multimillion-dollar loan to a data centre supporting a leading frontier model\'s early AI training infrastructure, highlighting his visionary insight into generative AI\'s impact on finance. Currently, Matthew heads AVA Applied AI and is a licensed mortgage agent in Ontario with Mortgage Architects (TSX: DLCG).
