Our mission in Globalization is to amplify the magic of Disney\'s digital product experiences by honoring our users\' unique cultural and linguistic perspectives within each of those experiences.I currently own two focus areas to support this mission: First, internationalization (i18n) infrastructure for Disney, starting with our streaming services and extending to all Disney-owned applications. This unlocks scalable localization that reflects users\' language of preference and location. Topics include language codes, country codes, localized formats for currency/date/time, and language fallback.Second, language enablement for Disney\'s streaming services. I work with cross-functional teams to ensure that our platforms can order, store, and deliver content with consistent language metadata. This area includes UI, audio, and timed text work on the website, in the app, and in the media player.
