Support the Medical Director in the design of a medical and scientific strategy for Investigator Initiated Research (IIR) studies, External Collaborative Research (ECR) studies and Independent Medical Education Grants (IMEGs). This includes development of IIR and ECR Research Areas of Interest and Medical Education Areas of Focus-Provide strategic and executional management of IIR studies, ECR studies and IMEGs, includingplanning, execution and completion of clinical and pre-clinical ECR projects-Serve as mentor for Scientific Affairs Managers-Work closely with the Medical Directors, Medical Science Liaison Field Directors, Medical ScienceLiaisons, OUS Medical team members, and other cross-functional partners to ensure successfultracking, completion, and internal reporting of ongoing clinical studies and projects-Develop and maintain good communication and working relationships with investigators and study staff-Present, discuss and participate in decision-making within the Medical Grants Review Committee.Review submissions for scientific and/or educational merit, study and/or learning design and strategic alignment of all research studies and educational grants.
