For 10 years Terrasmart has been a front-runner in the solar industry by continuously evolving its turnkey business model to build over 19 GW of ground mounted, utility-scale solar projects across the United States. Widely known for its innovative ground screw-based racking system, Terrasmart has transformed the solar industry by making tough, arduous soils containing rock and hilly terrain buildable sites for clean energy production. We also combine all contractor-based needs into one in-house process, minimizing hassle for our customers and ensuring we consistently deliver the highest value and solutions for every project’s unique construction needs. Manage the employee relations and strategic planning for the engineering, project management, and construction divisions, totaling 180 hourly and salaried employees of a 400-employee company, operating out of 6 separate locations, in 5 states, including on-site, remote, hybrid, and fully travel positions. Created a fully in-house leadership development training program including three separate initiatives: a quarterly leadership speaker series, a monthly leadership development program, and a formal mentorship program with accompanying mentor training and development program. Developed and implemented a home-grown formal mentorship program, beginning with 2 executive sponsors, 11 mentors, and 29 mentees. Created an in-house mentor training program to develop mentor leadership competencies. Collaborated with field leadership, senior management, and legal to research best practices and state laws when developing a 50-state compliant drive time policy. Also spearheaded the work to combine 4 separate PTO policies from legacy companies’ pre-merger to one 50-state compliant combined PTO and sick time policy.
