Principal enterprise data and AI architect, now Director of Architecture at Cynozure.Most of my work has been with organisations where a data or AI initiative has become harder to land than expected, usually because delivery, governance, and stakeholder pressures have started pulling in different directions. Across more than 65 engagements in defence, financial services, insurance, government, education, and global consumer organisations, that’s been the consistent pattern: the technical problem is rarely the real problem.My focus is on designing data platforms and AI operating models that can actually be built, governed, and run in practice, rather than on paper. Lead or programme-level architecture, senior escalation when decisions stall, translating senior intent into something delivery teams can execute.Earlier in my career I worked in defence, intelligence, and economic research. Research I led on countering hostile drone use was cited in the House of Lords and covered widely in international media, and still shapes how I think about assurance and risk today.At Cynozure, I lead the architecture function across our data and AI portfolio, setting technical direction on client engagements and growing the team of architects who carry the work.
