Lead a team of engineers providing Ansible Automation strategy for a large Non-Profit organization. Deliver more complex automation components for use by teams within the organization. Helped develop automated checks and linting during the development process to ensure more consistent code.• Advised Leadership on the formation/reorganization to create an Automation-focused team• Frequently advised and ran workshops to assist infrastructure teams in understanding and developing their own Ansible automation to improve processes.• Developed automation in response to a potential security risk, enabling the Operations team to remediate several hundred servers over the course of 3 days and closing the potential issue. • Designed orchestration of validation developed by QA engineers in Selenium and ReadyAPI, allowing Operations staff to execute validations before/after changes without needing a deep knowledge of the tools or applications, eliminating the need for QA/Development staff to be present for post-change validation unless issues were found.• Worked with the Jira team to provide access to a Self-Service Procurement application, using Ansible to eliminate multiple handoffs between the Service Desk and other teams, streamlining the process.• Built a strong relationship and trust with the customer opening opportunities to work with parts of the organization outside of Infrastructure/IT, enabling projects to reduce costs.
