About Matthew du

Growing up, I had an attachment to technology. I spent my childhood learning about the devices of the future and how to use it. I spent my free time playing video games and learning strategies in order to be victorious. Technology was the one constant I had in my life through all the ups and downs.However, I never knew what I wanted to do growing up. I wanted to be a race car driver because of the risk, or maybe become a veterinarian because of my love for animals. But when I wrote my first ever line of code, I felt a spark I had never felt before. With computer science, I get to write programs while still feeling the same thrill and compassion, knowing that I can build the technology instrumental in helping race car drivers achieve max speed while staying safe or develop life-saving machines that can save animals. However, best of all, I get to feel the sweet satisfaction of when the program works.
