About Matthew Hannah

Since reading Nicole Perlroth\'s \"So This Is How They Tell Me The World Ends: The Cyberweapons Arms Race\" in late 2021, I have been motivated to transition from being a contractor within the experiential marketing field ( & a part-time IT field tech) into cybersecurity. I feel I have a higher calling to use my passion for helping others understand issues and solve problems they don\'t have the acumen to do, in order to make the digital world safer for them and their business. Whether it be a non-technical role or a more technical role such as Cloud Security, I know I have the aptitude and the passion to wage war for your business against the digital dark arts. By utilizing my foundational IT skills and constantly honing my theoretical and practical knowledge base in cybersecurity, I\'ve been able to integrate myself into the field, landing a role as a Cybersecurity Advisor at OPACC, a strategic advisory and cyber operations firm. At OPACC, I speak with SMB owners or C-Suite executives, positioning our VMaaS (Vulnerability Management as a Service) product, PulseCheck, as a necessity in today\'s world. A substantial part of these conversations is conveying technical topics in an easily digestible manner and educating these SMBs on the current cybersecurity landscape. With my time outside of OPACC, I volunteer within my local community giving free cyber hygiene consultations to local families and businesses.In my free time, I am consistently improving my practical abilities with cybersecurity tools and technologies.
