About Matthew Trainor
From designing and building power converters to computer vision and robotics, the journey to growing my skills to be able to meet others needs is so exciting! I love to work on meaningful projects: both personal and in industry. I picture myself one day contributing to projects that will have a big positive impact on the world. even if its from space!Here are some current personal projects:Power and Analog- 30 Watt boost converter to power Peltier cooler module for water storage/dehumidification - Mobile coat heater based off of a toaster - 500 Watt power adapter for battery power tools (active clamp forward converter)Programming and Digital- Computer vision guided autonomous swarm robot control - MQTT and ROS robotic communication with NODE-red application programming - AI algorithm for unbeatable tic tac toe with LCD, timers, interrupt, and other hardware drivers - All of the above in C, C++, Arduino, and Node.jsRC airplane engineering- Dual motor bomber designed to drop clay pigeons for target practice - Several pusher-prop jets. one with experimental adjustable fuselage - 2 types of Leer jets to experiment with physical design and air performance - DLG glider with fiberglass and epoxy resin compositePersonal Hobbies- Spending time with my family - Guitar and Banjo - Mountain biking, camping, hiking, being outdoors - Learning
