ABOUT MATT CROSS

Driven and experienced executive with over 20 years of operating, investing, and leadership experience across a variety of industries and end-markets. I am a Managing Director at Beedie Capital, a multi-strategy direct investment platform that manages the alternative investments and assets for Beedie, where I lead the technology and strategic opportunities investment strategies for the platform.From 2019 to 2025 I was Managing Director and head of the Vancouver office at Kensington Capital Partners, a leading Canadian alternative asset manager focused on venture, growth, and buyout investments across North America. I served as a director or observer for numerous Kensington portfolio companies and fund investments and oversaw the day-to-day operations of the BC Tech Fund.Previously, I was a Vice President and key member of the investment transaction team at Parallel49 Equity, a lower middle-market private equity firm based in Vancouver, BC. Before joining Parallel49, I worked with technology sector clients as part of Deloitte Consulting’s strategy practice in San Francisco and held various roles in Canada and Norway at Teekay Corporation (NYSE:TK), a leading global provider of marine services to the oil and gas industry.I hold an MBA from Harvard Business School, an HBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at Western University, where I graduated with Distinction and was awarded the Bob Britney HBA Prize in Operations Management, and a BA in Sociology from Queen’s University.
