ABOUT MATTHEW MYERS

As Co-Founder and COO of A.K.A. New Media Inc.(AKA) and AKA raisin (now Raisin Software), I helped shape the company’s strategic direction and growth—establishing AKA as an internationally recognized leader in digital strategy and helping to grow raisin into Canada’s leading online fundraising and donation platform.By bringing together AKA’s digital expertise with raisin’s innovative fundraising tools, our team delivered award-winning solutions that empowered leading charities, associations, and arts & culture organizations to thrive online. Along the way, we were honored with three Webby Awards and seven W3 Awards, reflecting the impact of our work.As a digital business strategist, I have partnered with organizations across sectors to design and execute innovative, customized strategies that drive measurable success. I continue to engage with the global digital community as a judge for the Webby Awards, Communicator Awards, W3 Awards, and Davey Awards, and as a member of both the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS) and the Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts (AIVA)—a role that keeps me at the forefront of best practices in digital innovation and fundraising.Following the successful acquisition of AKA and raisin, I founded 2nd Thought Inc, a consultancy dedicated to helping not-for-profits strengthen their digital strategies. I also serve proudly on the Board of the Parkdale Community Food Bank, supporting its mission to address food insecurity in Toronto.My passion lies in helping charities and good corporate citizens harness digital innovation to amplify their impact. I am now actively seeking board opportunities with charities, associations, and purpose-driven companies where I can contribute strategic insight, governance experience, and a proven track record of scaling digital solutions for social good.After successfully transitioning AKA and AKA raisin through acquisition, I have shifted my focus to other pursuits. I am now the Founder and President of 2nd Thought Inc, a digital strategy consultancy dedicated to supporting the not-for-profit sector, and proudly serve on the Board of the Parkdale Community Food Bank.My passion for empowering charities and purpose-driven companies further their missions remains strong, and I am actively seeking additional board opportunities where my expertise and experience can add value.
