ABOUT MATTHEW DALY
I am a multi-skilled Senior IT Engineer with experience working on a vast array of projects and systems. I have previously worked in a systems administration role and furthered my career from a 2nd line systems support technician to a Senior IT Engineer. I have lead and managed a small IT team of 5 staff working on networking, software and programming projects that are continuously implemented in a production environment.I am now working as the Sole IT Engineer in a site staff of around 70 managing all aspects of IT which I have taken over from a 3rd party external provider, this includes Azure management, Licensing, Security, scheduled maintenance and systems support for all versions of Windows including Windows 11.I have previously worked in a testing role, working on various NPS Refresh Programmes for Capgemini on the HMRC Aspire account. I have been responsible for the end to end test planning and execution for complex technical implementations of database and user applications.I have developed a detailed knowledge of many technologies including Unix, SQL, VME and have extensive experience of security device testing and VOIP telephony systems. During the NPS & Technical Refresh Programmes, I was tasked with developing the test strategy, planning and resource provision for the SQL Guardium Refresh Project. In my time at BT Expedite (now Aptos) I have gained a vast knowledge in Point of Sale systems, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10 and Windows XP, my daily activities consist of peer training, system interrogation, research and resolution using a ticket system to manage various issues raised by the customers. Each day I collaborate with other teams, management, system management and the customer to provide a positive and effect resolution for issues.About me: I\'m very into my cars in my personal time I put far too much time into my 1986 Honda (the opposite of technology) I think this is maybe because IT is moving so fast its nice to slow down at the weekends.
