I am responsible for the research, planning, and development of the police department\'s advanced law enforcement accreditation program. Less than 6% of police agencies nationwide hold such a standard. The accreditation program ensures compliance with best practices and continual organizational improvement. I have over 25 years of experience in the public sector, with a Master of Public Administration degree and serve as a Public Safety Accreditation Consultant. I also serve as the Budget Director for the BART Police Department, managing a $130M annual budget. In addition, I am the President of the California Police Accreditation Coalition, a network of local and state agencies that supports and promotes professional excellence in law enforcement. Additionally, responsible for the communication and dissemination of all correspondences with the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) for the Department. Specifically, disseminating directives, procuring and reviewing documentations, and physical inspection of facilities and processes to ensure the highest level of CALEA compliance for the Department as well as provide professional level staff support to the Chief of Police.Director of $130M annual Department budget, including forecasting, variance analysis, contractual compensation, and implementation of controls to prevent overexpenditures.
