ABOUT MATTHEW ALS-MCCLEAN

I am an Economics and Finance student at Queen Mary University of London, currently on track to achieve a First Class degree. I have strong skills in financial analysis, corporate finance and economic research. Through academic projects and practical experiences, I have developed hands-on expertise in financial modelling, valuation techniques and portfolio construction.During a recent asset management work experience with SEI Investments, I analysed real-world investment scenarios, identified fund ISINs, and constructed a portfolio to evaluate performance and compare investment opportunities.Additionally, I completed the Student Consultancy Project hosted by Queen Mary Careers and Enterprise, where I worked in a team to deliver research-driven recommendations focused on onboarding methods and growth strategies for a start-up client.I achieved A levels in Maths and Economics and Business Studies, which have provided a strong foundation for my degree. My role as a Student Ambassador further enhanced my communication and client-facing skills. I am now seeking graduate roles in finance where I can apply my knowledge and continue to develop in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
