ABOUT MATTHEW ZITANI
As a Project manager at NextEra Energy i am part of the clean energy revolution. I serve as the central hub connecting strategy to reality, transforming ambitious renewable energy goals into operational power-generating assets that supply clean electricity to millions of customers. Some of my Core Functions are Strategic Execution where I Convert NextEra Energy\'s renewable development pipeline into tangible infrastructure, managing projects from initial site identification through commercial operation. Cross-Functional Leadership as I work with diverse teams including engineers, environmental specialists, regulatory experts, construction crews, and financial analysts to deliver complex energy projects. Risk Navigation where we anticipate and mitigate challenges across technical, regulatory, financial, and environmental dimensions in an evolving energy landscape. And finally stakeholder Integration. This is where I bridge relationships between utilities, communities, regulators, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project success. I truly enjoy my Role in Shaping Energy\'s Future. I am directly responsible for adding gigawatts of clean energy capacity to the grid. I oversee the development of solar farms, wind projects, and battery storage systems that are displacing fossil fuels and reducing carbon emissions across North America. I work with Grid Modernization As the energy system becomes more distributed and dynamic, project managers help integrate renewable resources with advanced grid technologies, energy storage, and smart grid infrastructure that enables a more resilient and flexible power system. Most importantly is a Community Partnership where I ensure that the clean energy transition benefits local communities through job creation, economic development, and environmental stewardship, building the social foundation necessary for long-term energy transformation.
