About Matthew Vasallo

I’m a personable and passionate software engineer with 16 years of experience developing a wide range of software solutions. I began on a large team gaining experience in complex code bases, development methodologies, continuous integration, and deployments. I then moved to R&D, building both native and web-based apps for rapid proof of concepts. This led to a senior software engineering role, where I began leading teams in converting POCs into stable production ready software. I’ve been involved in every part of the SDLC, including requirement breakdowns, labor cost estimates, incremental development, customer/product team engagement and final delivery. I’ve spent the last several years focused on blending my knowledge of OOP/multi-threaded backend systems with large scale front-end JS applications. Most recently, I’ve moved to a full-time senior consulting role, focused on building reusable ed-tech software tooling in use by a variety of engineering, content, and product teams.
