About Matthew Taylor

I grew up a Colorado Native. Played competitive sports and was drawn to the Arts and Humanities as a kid. I was, and always have been someone who enjoys talking to people, hearing their life stories, and learning something new. Everyone has their own area of expertise. I have always strived to continue learning and pushing myself. I attended the University of Colorado and graduated with a BFA in Performance with a Business and Dance Minor. After graduating in December 2018, I got a job at HomeAdvisor January 2019. I was there for over three years, and during my time became an account executive. I prided myself on my ability to ask insightful questions, being a resource for customers, and being part of a team. I transitioned into a role with Unleashed.CEO April 2022. This was a challenging change in the sense that I was dealing with people (CEOs) who had industry experience, startup experience, and life experience that I was still in the process of growing and learning. I did enjoy getting to help CEOs find their 2nd-in-commands. I always sought to ask prodding questions to find out who they were as CEOs, and what the right compliment would look like to them. I was in this role for little while and I had known in the back of my mind that cybersecurity was something I was interested in being a part of. I was aware I didn\'t have industry experience, and so I sought an ADR role at a few companies, before finding my home at Red Canary. I get to prospect, field inbound conversations, and learn from some of the sharpest minds around; in an industry that teaches me something new daily. I look forward to where this journey continues to take me. I remain hungry, humble, and eager to learn and be a part of something bigger than myself. I want to help Red Canary hit our goals, and I pride myself on being an security ally- who can help any business have better protection, gain clearer insights into their environments, and have peace of mind they have world class threat detection and response with Red Canary. Not all heroes wear capes, but Red Canary is determined to become the Apple of Security and tireless endeavors protect and serve the security community to make this world a safer and more secure place.
