I specialize in first/final visual inspection of optical lenses confirming the correct optical prescriptions via a lensometer. I confirm lenses are manufactured with correct material, and have any specific coatings when they arrive in the lab and before they are approved to leave the lab. I’m an expert at lens preparation, blocking, tracing, and cutting in 7E and Santinelli – SE-9090 precision lens edgers. I use years of Technical Services/Manufacturing Science (TS/MS) experience for repairing and maintaining lab equipment regularly to avoid unnecessary replacements such as replacing/installing new fuses, tubes, hoses, motors, blades, mounts. I have extensive experience using Voltmeters paired with optical software diagnostics (QA/QC) for replacing lab equipment or individual components. I’m an expert at troubleshooting current issues with optical lab equipment, lens samples, and prescription irregularities by drawing on years of experience (Resolving vision issues induced by new Rx’s/Rx changes, manual/auto lensometer operations, obtaining/verifying accurate optical prescription measurements PD/OC/SH/Prism, lens material/size/type/measurement verification, optical frame assembly/adjustments, precision edgers, lens tracers, lens blockers, and extensive experience in first and final visual inspection procedures). I’m responsible for rejecting lenses lacking efficacy due to lens or coating defects, incorrect prescription in the lens, incorrect lens sizes, and lens blanks not matching tracing patterns displayed before cutting.
