As an energy engineer, I have a broad range of experience with energy efficiency projects for large commercial and industrial facilities across the U.S. My work has involved me in every phase of a building\'s life: from pre-design and construction to re-commissioning and equipment retrofits. My philosophy is that buildings can and should be comfortable, safe, and energy-efficient. Recent experience includes design and commissioning of comprehensive energy upgrades for facilities in MA, MD, and TX. These projects involved redesign of central plants, building automation system upgrades, and terminal device retrofits. Technologies applied included magnetic-bearing chillers, condensing boilers, self-sensing variable-speed pumps, electrically commutated (EC) motors, and energy saving control algorithms. Other related experience includes combined heat & power system design, compressed air plant design, investment-grade energy audits, and steam trap and compressed air leak audits.
