About Matthew Stanislaus

Hi! I’m a junior at the University of Texas at Austin, majoring in Corporate Communication through the Moody College of Communication and minoring in Professional Sales and Business Development. I’m passionate about the intersection of business and communication—especially in areas like sales strategy, marketing, finance, and team leadership. Currently, I’m gaining hands-on experience as a Sales/BDR Intern at Proofpoint, a leading cybersecurity company. In this role, I engage with enterprise-level prospects, conduct outbound outreach, and support the sales team in identifying strategic opportunities to drive pipeline growth. I’ve sharpened my communication, CRM, and prospecting skills while deepening my understanding of SaaS and cybersecurity. Previously, I worked as a financial intern at Petros Pace Finance and as a summer marketing intern at Smart Hockey, where I contributed to financial reporting, outreach strategy, and product positioning efforts. These roles have helped me build a well-rounded foundation in both the finance and marketing sides of business. Outside of work and school, I enjoy playing basketball, traveling, listening to music, and trying new restaurants around Austin and beyond.
