I currently serve The Big Ten Network, ESPN(s), ABC, NBC, TBS, MLB Nerwork, CBS, Carr Hughes Productions, Fox News, Fox Sports, The Pac-12 Network, the NFL Network, and other networks as the Senior Video Operator for over 200 live nationwide broadcasts of sporting and news events each year. This requires me to meet strict deadlines, solve last-minute changes to the shows technical layout, plan for contingencies, maintain technical standards, and work with my team in creative problem solving. My duties include planning and supervision for optimum signal integrity for technical and creative considerations of all inbound and outbound video signals used for the broadcasts. This includes extensive knowledge of camera adjustments, terminal equipment, measurement and standards for broadcast, satellite and web distribution. My deep background in in camera shading allows me the unique ability to not only create technically correct images and to expand the latitude of the cameras, but also to directly contribute to the visual sensibilities of the program and achieve the results the director seeks.
