Merchandising Inventory Warehouse Asset Protection @Best Buy

Every Monday and Thursday night we have truck. We unload the truck, move all the new product to the floor, put all the remaining product in storage, do lock up, and fill all the remaining holes in the store. Every Sunday morning we have ad set. This means that we change all the updated price tags all around the store. We then put up all the sale, clearance, and as advertised red signage around the store. At least once a week we change the open box tags as well. Open box tags are basically just discounted price tags. When we no longer can sell a product at the initial price we sell it as \"open box.\" An example is when a customer comes into the store and returns something. Well now we have to sell it at a lower price. We as a warehouse team try to keep the store with as close to 0 holes as possible every day. When we stock these holes (or shelves) we call this down stocking. We as a warehouse team also are in charge of a computer program called \"OMS.\" This is just basically a program we use to handle pick ups, deliveries, ship to homes, etc. I help assist in the sale of digital single-lens reflex cameras whenever called on to do so. I help with customer service and multi-task daily. I also help with Asset Protection whenever called on to do so. This is basically just theft prevention. I stand at the entrance of the store, look at cameras, check receipts, greet customers, say goodbye to customers, and try to avoid theft as much as possible. Other functions we handle in the Warehouse include things like cleaning, doing carry ins, carry outs, and using a machine called the \"Big Joe\" to bring down televisions, printers, etc. I work about 25-35 hours per week. That is about it.
