ABOUT MATTHEW FORREST
Matthew Forrest is a Lead Scientist at Biocrucible with >15 years of experience in development of isothermal point-of care molecular diagnostic tests and platforms in an ISO13485 environment.At TwistDx he developed several IVD tests and made critical contributions to the development of the Alere-i (Abbott ID NOW) platform, the first CLIA-waived molecular testing platform.Matthew also led development of the TwistAmp Liquid kit, identifying the need for a new product to give customers greater flexibility and a lower price point, developing production methods to enable manufacturing of the kit, working with marketing and manufacturing to determine product specifications and format and make the kit an award winning success.Since working as an instructor on workshops for the Wellcome Trust in LMIC, Matthew has been interested in developing affordable, workable molecular diagnostics that are suitable for the needs of such resource limited settings.
