ABOUT MATTHEW ROUTLEY
I am an experienced Music and Drama teacher. I have taught for over 25 years.I have taught GCSE and A-Level Music and Drama, BTEC Music and BTEC Performing Arts. I also currently work for one of the exam boards as a moderator.Along with my academic qualifications I have achieved Grade 8 Tuba, Grade 8 Piano and Grade 8 Theory (100%). I have taught all of these subjects. I am computer literate, a good team player and extremely reliable. I am also used to working to deadlines and managing varied tasks within the workload.I have been a BBb Tuba player with Black Dyke Brass Band since June 1995. I have been fortunate to perform in some of the most prestigious concert halls in the world, e.g. Sydney Opera House and the Royal Albert Hall.In some of my leisure time I have been involved in several projects with aspiring youngsters from all over the country as a tuba tutor, for example with the National Children’s Brass Band of Great Britain (since 2005) and the Yorkshire Youth Brass Band (since 2006).
