About Matthew Rotan

Matthew P. Rotan is a co-founder and managing principal of Marble Capital, LP. In this role, he helps manage all aspects of investment activities for Marble, including capital raising, deal sourcing and investment management for the company’s various funds. Matt has been involved in the multifamily industry since 1989, having executed over $15B in advisory assignments. Matt was a founding member of ARA (now Newmark) as well as a member of ARA’s executive committee for eight years. After growing ARA to over 26 offices nationally, he was part of the team that executed the sale of ARA to BGC Partners (ticker: BGC) in December 2014. He is also a founding principal and owner in PinPoint Commercial, L.P, a Houston-based commercial real estate industrial developer and investor. At PinPoint, Matt has been involved in capitalizing and developing 13 assisted living facilities, 850 acres of land and over sf of industrial space with total value of $1B. Matt is a past chairman of the board of directors and executive committee for the Boys & Girls Country Home in Katy, Texas, an organization assisting children in crisis; Matt is on the Board of the Toolbox Ministries as well as being on the board of Sharpen Recovery. Matt and his family are active members of St. Martins Church where he recently served on the Vestry; Matt was a long time member of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Breeders Greeters Committee, which supports college scholarships for Texas youth. Matt graduated from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas in 1986. Matt has been married for 32 years and he and his wife have four children.
