ABOUT MATTHEW RICHMAN

SENIOR EXECUTIVE / CEO / CFO / Board MemberMatthew Richman (Matt) has 30 years of experience in senior financial, operational, and strategic management roles in both public and private companies in industries including cannabis, manufacturing and distribution, print/consumer packaging, retail, information technology, hospitality, and professional services. In that time, he has come to embrace the fact that growing any successful business begins with good structure, great people, and a strong culture.He began his career as an auditor and consultant for public and private companies with Deloitte and has years of M&A and transaction experience, completing buy and sell transactions, partnerships, and other business arrangements. He has a proven ability to scale businesses, build supporting infrastructure and run disciplined M&A processes, resulting in multiple successful exits. In addition, Matt has served as the CFO/COO of a public company and has extensive experience working with private equity, venture capital, debt providers, boards of directors and investors. He has an M.B.A. from Florida Atlantic University, a B.S. in Business Administration/Accounting from Shepherd University and earned a Certified Public Accountant designation in Florida (inactive).Matt entered cannabis in 2018 as the CEO and CFO of a Colorado based recreational and medical cannabis company, which he then expanded into Massachusetts. Over the past seven years, he has developed an expertise in all areas of operating and building a cannabis business including retail, inventory/logistics, wholesale, cultivation, compliance/regulatory, legal, banking, finance, all taxes including 280(e), marketing, human resources, and team building. His experience from other industries has been invaluable to his success in the cannabis industry.
