ABOUT MATTHEW REVELL

Since joining Rambøll in 2007, Matthew has experience in the planning, design, construction and implementation of major building structures projects, both in the UK and internationally.Matthew has coordinated the production and management of BIM models and structural drawings, as well as possessing extensive experience in co-ordinating structural models in the 3D environment on a number of software platforms, clash checking, drawing production, internal drawing reviews and compliance checking. He has also been involved with successfully implementing a full BIM modelling approach for a number of projects working collaborating with other members of the design team and stakeholders. The benefits of Matthew’s collaborative approach to BIM has led to the successful delivery of a number of projects, with particular reference to Birmingham City University’s Parkside Building, being one of the first Level 2 BIM projects in the UK.Matthew has been involved with the production of structural drawings and BIM Models using AutoCAD and Revit Structure. He has experience in steelwork, reinforced concrete, timber and drainage drawing production covering small to multi-million pound projects.Matthew has worked on a wide range of projects, both refurbishment and new-build, in several different markets. He has had lead responsibility for co-ordinating structural models in the 3D environment on a number of software platforms, drawing production, internal drawing reviews and compliance checking. He has also been involved with implementing a full BIM modelling approach for a number of projects working alongside other members of the Design Team. Matthew has produced image renders and 3D visualisation walkthroughs on a number of bids, both within the UK and Internationally.Matthew is also involved with the BIM Coordination Steering Panel within Ramboll and feeds in to various software and process task groups relating to BIM and Structural Design software.
