Responsible for the design of all types of industrial scaffolding projects, mainly in the petrochemical and energy industries. • Production of scaffolding design drawings using latest AutoCAD software.• Preparation of detailed engineering calculations, by hand & utilizing relevant structural analysis software, where necessary producing 3D structural models, all adhering to the relevant British and European Standards and Codes of Practice.• Visits to site (both on and off-shore) for surveys to take exact measurements, photographs etc. in preparation for the design. • Attendance at client meetings to discuss and establish client requirements with engineers, production staff, management and other concerned parties.• Close liaison with depot based staff, foremen, project managers, customers and other engineers to offer technical advice and ensure that all designs are produced within specified return dates.• Seismic qualification of scaffolds on nuclear installations
