ABOUT MATTHEW PINKNEY

I lead Aon\'s Data Solutions Team (DST) within the UK retirement business. This growing team, of over 150 colleagues, is responsible for implementing large member data and pensions administration change projects, such as- Data testing, extraction, cleaning and manipulation- GMP rectification/reconciliation projects- The administration implementation of GMP equalisation projects (including re-coding calculation automations)- Data and calculation work to support Pension Dashboards- Benefit rectification projects (including those driven by legal issues)- Data work needed to support risk settlement projects, including managing insurer data queries and data cleanse work (including contingent spouses\' cleanse exercises)- The administration implementation of other benefit change and member option projects- Strategic data consultingThis work has become central to the strategy of most defined benefit pension schemes.I am a member of the UK Retirement Leadership Team and a member of the retirement business\'s AI steering committee, and have a very keen interest in AI.Prior to my current role, I was Scheme Actuary to a portfolio of clients, and have experience advising Trustees on a wide range of issues/solutions, including risk management, funding, alternative financing and benefit changes.
