Currently managing 15-20 rights and permissions programs for Pearson. Managing all science and HSSLE titles for higher education digital and print textbooks, including the Campbell Biology series, the Marieb Anatomy & Physiology series, and the Tro Chemistry series. • Managing cross-cultural teams of up to 12 people per team. Evaluating team member performance regularly with mentoring and training for new skills and proficiencies as needed.• Continuously communicating with all project stakeholders including authors, editors, media producers, project managers. Analyzing content to anticipate potential risks then raising issues to the stakeholders along with viable solutions to resolve any problems.• Closely reviewing and evaluating photo content in order to identify areas to bring content up to date and adhering to Pearson DEI standards. • Tracking and maintaining budgets while implementing cost-saving strategies for new manuscript and previous editions to ensure targets are hit. Closely monitoring schedules and workflow to resolve complex production issues and meet deadlines.• Conducting extensive photo research through stock agencies as well as procuring highly specialized scientific images through private sources such as scientific journals, universities and clinical researchers.• Obtaining text and image permissions adhering to current copyright laws and regulations. Negotiating rightsholder fees and license terms for broad worldwide rights.• Administering asset management in IPM as well as internal proprietary database platforms. • Prioritizing tasks on a daily basis to keep a streamlined workflow.
