About Matthew Palmisano
Matthew is a tested and trusted professional in the field of operations, logistics, and advance. Most recently, he was the Director of Strategic Operations on Governor Glenn Youngkin’s campaign, leading an intimate operations team responsible for the day-to-day success of now-Governor Youngkin’s schedule, message, and all logistics surrounding the team’s winning strategy. Prior to working for Governor Youngkin, Matthew served President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump at The White House for almost three years, as Special Assistant to the President and Director of Advance and Trip Coordinator for the First Lady. Before joining The White House, Matthew entered the Trump Administration as a Presidential Appointee in June of 2018 as a Senior Advance Representative for Secretary Alex M. Azar at the United States Department of Health and Human Services. Before joining HHS, Matthew was a White House Advance Associate for The Office of the Vice President and the Office of the First Lady since December 2017. In addition, he worked as the Special Assistant to New Jersey\'s 1st Lieutenant Governor, Kim Guadagno, and a Lead Advance Representative for Governor Chris Christie. While at The White House, Matthew reported directly to the First Lady, planning and executing her travel schedule and events to promote her initiatives and those of the Trump Administration. His long tenure provided extensive collaboration with the First Lady and White House Senior Staff, giving him a network of working relationships and lines of strategic communication throughout Washington, DC and around the world. When he was not advancing the schedule of Mrs. Trump, Matthew was frequently tapped by the Office of Presidential Advance to travel on behalf of President Trump to lead and advise his Advance Teams. He interfaced with Cabinet Secretaries, Members of Congress, Ambassadors, foreign governments and heads of state, and groups and organizations in both the private and public sector to promote initiatives and amplify policy positions of the administration. He has led international summit and US delegation visit negotiations on behalf of the United States and the Office of the First Lady in dozens of countries spanning six continents. A 2014 graduate of The University of Richmond with dual degrees from the Jepson School of Leadership Studies (Leadership Studies) and School of Arts and Sciences (PPEL), Matthew is an expert in state, national, and international governmental operations and logistics, political event management, and media relations.
