About Matthew Nelson
Studying Mechanical Engineering & Theater introduced me to the expansive world of technical storytelling. From animation production to theme park engineering, this matrimony of science & art showed me that I can engineer more than just machines, but memories as well.I’m a communication-driven, multidisciplinary engineer seasoned in cross functional project development within varying industries of entertainment, professional services and academic research. From small group start-ups to public Fortune 500 companies, I’ve grown my skills in theme park engineering, 2D/3D digital modeling, cyber risk consulting, human-centered design, & effective technical communication. I am committed to designing experiences that function as surrogates for all people, helping them learn and rediscover themselves in real time, and make subtle truths about the world more accessible and entertaining. In the end, I hope to create experiences that aren\'t just fun, but emotionally restorative.
