I handle all details relating to music used in performance at the San Francisco Ballet. This involves obtaining and preparing sheet music for use by the Ballet Orchestra, instrumental soloists, staff pianists, choreographers, production staff and media technicians. To make the music from each season\'s repertoire more accessible to musicians and staff, I initiated and maintain a secure web site with scanned digital copies of all the orchestral materials available for download as well as audio recordings of the repertoire.I also handle all licensing and copyright issues relating to the use of music in ballet performances, arrange for the payment of fees to music publishers and composers, prepare budget projections and maintain financial records relating to music licensing, rental and purchase.I maintain the Ballet music collection in good condition, keep an updated data base of the holdings, provide information about the music we use to other staff members and answer inquiries from other ballet companies, orchestras, audience members and the general public. I also write brief descriptions and program notes about the music for distribution at fundraising events and contribute posts to the Ballet\'s online interactive blog site.
