I represent clients in high stakes litigation, predominantly in the areas of white collar defense, healthcare, and commercial litigation. Below are some examples of my experience- Represented large medical practice in qui tam federal investigation for \"impossible day\" billing allegations. Made presentations to the U.S. Attorney and FBI in support of declination. Government declined to intervene and qui tam action dismissed- Represented government contractor in False Claims Act litigation regarding defense manufacturing claims resulting in no charges for contractor- Defended executive branch official in sealed investigation and subsequent prosecution by the Department of Justice before the federal trial court and U.S. District Court of Appeals- Represented physician investigated for Stark Law, Anti-Kickback allegations concerning prescription-writing and speaker engagements- Represented physician on 61 counts of federal healthcare fraud and violations of the Controlled Substances Act in the Northern District of Florida. Government dismissed all fraud counts prior to trial in response to pre-trial motions. Jury acquitted physician on all remaining counts- Negotiated favorable AWC with FINRA’s Division of Enforcement for client accused of securities violations for allegations of trading away- Litigated multi-party derivative action under Florida Revised Limited Liability Company Act. Successfully resolved matter such that clients retained control of all company assets, ownership, and real property.
