Working in the retail sector was never on my radar when graduating with a degree in Law. My focus was to plough straight into the corporate legal world in London, because, thats the logical step. Isn\'t it? It turns out the recession of 2008, a pause on legal intakes and some great advice from my tutors fell in my favour. I happened across a company and a career which has been to date, fast paced, challenging and varied. I wouldn\'t change a thing. Starting with Abercrombie in 2008, I thought i\'d give it six months, I quickly realised the opportunity to learn a broad, wide ranging skills set and the ability to contribute to the growth of a brand. Six and half years later there are now 121 stores internationally and I have been fortunate enough to be an integral part of that growth. Arguably one of the most iconic and fast paced fashion retailers of the early 21st century, I led opening teams in the UK, Frankfurt and Paris, I have opened and staffed 6 locations across the world, building a team of on average, 200 people per store. I helped develop the West London Hollister store into the highest grossing in the world, turning over $22million a year. Hired and developed managers who work across the globe, both in store, and head office capacities. Most recently I was appointed to take the company to it\'s first Southern Hemisphere location in Australia to test the market with two teams from the UK. Through my time with the company I have proven myself and leveraged my skills to be a strong leader and manager of people and processes. I have been able to develop highly effective teams and a create positive cultures to work within. Equally I am focused on driving business, most recently increasing the bottom line revenue in Australia, growing sales year on year, to the tune of 22%.
