ABOUT MATTHEW LUKE
Recent Medical Pharmacology graduate with First Class Honours from Cardiff University with aspirations to work in the sales or commercial side of the pharmaceutical and life sciences industry. Completed a dissertation in final year titled \'Investigating LIMK as a novel therapeutic target in AML\' and completed various modules including immunology, Cancer Biology and Neuropharmacology.I enjoy sport, in particular rugby and football, which I have played since I was five and I have recently started playing golf. I am also a keen skier and enjoy playing Airsoft. I love watching Formula 1 and I am was part of the Motorsports team at Cardiff University, representing them in inter-university go-karting competitions. I also enjoy cooking.Whilst at school, I spent 4 years as an Army Cadet and achieved two young people’s leadership qualifications. I reached the rank of Corporal.I am also an active volunteer; in July 2023 I went to Uganda with Play Action International to help build a playground for.a village school. I have also previously volunteered for Cancer Research UK and with the National Citizen Service.
