In this position I am responsible for EH & S compliance and injury prevention at 12 glass recycling plants across the eastern and midwest United States. During this time we have achieved almost a 25% reduction in TRIR an 25% reduction in TRIR and #300K reduction in Workers Compensation Claims. In addition to plant EH & S inspections, frequent communication with plant management, and oversight of plant safety initiatives, I am responsible for the development, revision, and implementation of corporate safety and health programs, policies, and procedures. In 2021, I lead the limitative to implement an electronic safety management system for all 45 plants in the company. I also handle most of the industrial hygiene responsibilities for SMI, such as dust and noise exposure sampling. I also have been the safety lead on many cross-functional EH & S team audits that have been conducted at SMI plants. I work closely with SMIs \'human resources department, the Information technology (I.T.) department, and our internal and outside legal counsel.
