Liaison between business units and Kroger leadership, representing proposed strategic finance projects and their corresponding capital requests that range from $500K to $150M – lead analyst on $1B+ to-date· Perform detailed financial review on capital investments (150+ projects to-date) to deliver informed recommendations to Senior leadership· Evaluate investment proposals by ensuring that project cash flows are modeled appropriately and result in an adequate NPV and IRR· Lead Financial Analyst responsible for delivering annual Actual Returns report to senior leadership, providing extensive insights (65+ pages) on Kroger’s supermarket performance relative to investment· Developed numerous accuracy checks within the Actual Returns reporting process to improve the reliability of critical data used by leadership to inform corporate strategic decision making· Implemented and currently manage Kroger’s Strategic Investment Project tracker to assist in reanalysis.· Actively assist in the training and development of 5+ new team members (intern & new hire)· Provide financial, analytical, and general support to supervisors in reviewing, analyzing, and modeling capital expenditure requests· Developed and communicated ad hoc analyses as requested by utilizing a multitude of data systems including Essbase, BZO, and KEY
