About Matthew Isakson
My name is Matthew Isakson, and I am an Occupant Performance Integration Engineer at General Motors. I work on vehicle safety systems to protect occupants during a crash through physical testing and simulations. I completed the TRACK program which was a 2-year rotation program. My first rotation was in Seat Comfort Engineering, and my second was in Occupant Performance Engineering, which is where I stayed for a permanent position.I graduated with my Master\'s in Biomedical Engineering at The Ohio State University. I was a Graduate Research Associate completing work towards a thesis in pediatric shoulder biomechanics in the Injury Biomechanics Research Center. I was also a part of the Medical Product Development Program focused on developing a device with patient vital remote monitoring capabilities. For my undergraduate studies, I completed my degree in Biomedical Engineering at Ohio State. I was a part of the Integrated Business and Engineering Honors Program where I will also received a business minor. These programs have given me the opportunity to work with cross functional teams in order to tackle problems that overlap in biomedical engineering and business fields.
